About Owner
Head Fitness Coach, MaryEllen Adegbite
​​​Helping Athletes and Active Individuals Move, Perform, and Recover Better

MaryEllen Adegbite is the head coach and owner of Movement with Purpose, specializing in sports performance and exercise therapy for athletes and active individuals of all levels. With over 13 years of coaching experience and 18 years as a competitive athlete, MaryEllen brings a results-driven, science-backed approach to every session.
Her training philosophy centers around intentional movement, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development. Whether working with Junior Olympic athletes, professionals, post-surgical patients, or aging adults looking to regain function, she tailors every program with precision and care.
MaryEllen holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Exercise Therapy Specialist. She has completed a 40-hour internship under Dr. Paul M. Salinas, D.C., CCSP, and continues to learn under the mentorship of doctors of physical therapy. Additional credentials include USA Track & Field Level 2 Coach, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, and USA Boxing Coach. She’s also a former Equinox Tier 3 Trainer.
MaryEllen’s mission is to help clients move better, get stronger, recover smarter, and perform at their highest potential, whether that’s on the field, in the ring, or in everyday life.

Coach James Adegbite
James Adegbite is a dedicated personal trainer and BACB-certified technician with a Bachelor's in psychology from the University at Buffalo. His work at Nassau Suffolk Services for Autism (NSSA) involves providing tailored support and applying behavior management techniques to assist individuals with autism, drawing on his expertise to enhance their daily life skills.
With a diverse athletic background as a stunt professional, track athlete, and world-ranked powerlifter, James brings a unique perspective to personal training. He is passionate about helping people of all abilities to unlock their potential, crafting customized training plans that move beyond traditional methods to include activity-based exercises.
Currently pursuing a master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), James is committed to refining his skills to better serve individuals with various needs. His approach to personal training is personalized and holistic, focusing on the unique requirements of each client to ensure they achieve their goals in a supportive and engaging environment.
